About Sufipedia International

A reference archive of Hazrati Sufism for researchers worldwide.

Introduction

Sufipedia International is a digital reference archive dedicated to the historical record of Hazrati Sufism.

It consolidates information from books, magazines, newsletters, and archival collections into a structured, searchable resource. Researchers can trace names, dates, places, publications, organizations, and events without searching through dispersed sources.

The project began with the careful ordering of early Sufi periodicals and expanded as questions arose about meetings, lineages, and historical context. The archive now brings together sources from multiple countries and branches.

Sufipedia 2.0 continues the work of Sufipedia 1.0 with an international scope. It presents sourced information in a neutral, respectful tone for scholars, students, and members of Sufi communities worldwide; questions of doctrine or practice are beyond the scope of this archive.

We use the term Hazrati Sufism for all organizations and communities that draw their inspiration from the teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan.

Important note: this website is not a product but a process. New information will arise and be added in the future. Because this website originally started with a more narrow scope, the information on for instance all Hazrati branches is not as extensive as we would wish. If the user wishes to share useful and interesting information with us, we can only be grateful.
